Desktop Clock

If you are a Windows Vista or 7 user, then you are surely familiar with the clock widget, which can be displayed anywhere on the desktop. The problem is that this widget clock is not so customizable and doesn't have too many features. On the other hand, if you only have Windows XP installed, you won't have access to widgets, including the Windows clock. Fortunately, there are some applications which allow you to have the same functionality as the Windows 7 Clock in Windows XP, with many more features.

The program I am talking about is Desktop Clock. This simple Windows application can display a large clock on your desktop, but beyond that, it also includes a reminder and day planner. After installing and launching the application, the user will be presented with a large red clock. When clicking on the Panel button, displayed near the clock, a complex configuration window will be opened, from where the user can customize the clock in the smallest detail possible.

As such, he will be able to change the clock colors, the font and size of the text displayed inside the clock and even set a transparency level for the clock. What's more, the RSS reader included inside the program can be configured and can have various RSS feeds added, for displaying them directly in the program's interface.

Besides displaying a clock, Desktop Clock also allows you to set up a daily planner. As such, the user can add an unlimited number of activities and can also have sound reminders configured, so he will know when a next task is due.
